He posted about it on Bluesky but I’m not going to be bothered to log into Bluesky. I have heard over the years from people who were playtesters on this that it was BROKEN in some non-descript way. It was also being designed right before WotC acquired TSR, which I suspect if there was problems getting this game into pre-production, the cash cow of resurrecting D&D would be a suitable reason to ice-box this.
Anyone heard about this over the years, or anyone have thoughts?
I mean, looking at this guys’ other work, I d9n’t have too much expectation of this to be much good. If this is one of the guys responsoble for 3e I already know he has questionable taste and direction. Also even if it is sold off, I’m not sure it coild be sold as a product anyways due to it still being a MtG game.
He also did Ars Magica, Everway, Over the Edge, contributed numerous times to Alarums & Excursions, RuneQuest, Call of Cthulhu, among many, many other things.
Tweet’s been in the industry longer than most living folks and I’m fairly certain if he’s auctioning this for Planned Parenthood now, he’s looked into the legal ramifications of such and gotten the go-ahead.
